RANDOM PART I – Exhibition - Ikastikos Kyklos - Athens
Painting, Acrylic On Canvas + Metal, Sculpture, Metal, Plexiglass
… a thin bark separates the outside from the inside…
The visible from the invisible…
The concrete from the abstract…
The surface, elaborated in details, carefully covers a complicated, invisible complex composed of elements bearing strong emotional loads.
… As soon as a being is born, an invisible hand throws the dice.
The dice bounce, they balance and then fate smiles (meaningfully)… From now on, the little new creation should handle a series of mechanisms which generate choices, decisions, emotions and which will afterwards affect its external image, thus giving shape to its whole, complex personality.
Fear, oestrus, aggressiveness, doubt, ambition, charisma and how it is perceived by the audience , are emotional mechanisms, each one drawn by and battling opposite forces. They interact and strongly influence the evolutional trace of every living organism and they define the orbit of their life, regardless of species, colour or age.
“… Everything is determined, the beginning as well as the end, by forces over which we have no control. It is determined for insects as well as for the stars. Human beings, animals, vegetables, or cosmic dust, we all dance to a mysterious tune, intoned in the distance by an invisible piper.”
Albert Einstein
Ηowever Einstein, does not clarify who this alleged "invisible piper" is. Is it the logic of the universe, or some unseen power outside the material world?
